On a slow Saturday night, I figured I would offer this up for discussion and see what others think. I honestly am not sure what I even think. Our back up catcher is doing rather well at the plate. He is laying off good pitches and getting good wood on pitches when he takes a cut. He has a slight/small history of having potential offensively...which I remember only from watching a spring game with the Pirates TV crew.

Is there a chance people in the Warehouse are thinking about bringing up a 3rd catcher in order to get Paulino (or Matt) more ABs at DH? Is this why Exposito was acquired? Or is Exposito just an emegency if someone gets injured? It's not like Johnson is tearing the cover off the ball.

Again, just a topic for discussion. This would also allow for Matt to get more time off from behind the plate.

Teagarden's health is the main reason they picked up Exposito IMO.
