Orioles Radio in Frederick County
Sorry if this is a repetitive thread. I just moved to Urbana (Frederick area) from Connecticut. 1090 am came in more clear in Connecticut than in Frederick! I looked at the Orioles radio affiliates across MD and none of them seem to be clear. Just hoping someone else in the area can share some tips.
Go O's!

Forever the Orioles were always on AM930 in Frederick and then the station decided to stop carrying them. The Orioles have to recognize this is a problem. I have heard people complain at night about not being able to get the games in the Frederick area. I assume you tried 1280 out of Hanover, PA and 1470 out of Westminster, I have no idea how well those two stations travel at night time in that area. 1450AM in Thurmont is a very small station and I think they only carry the Orioles when the Frederick Keys aren't playing.
Hopefully 930am will change their mind and add the Orioles again, they don't seem to have as much sports on that station as they did years ago.

There is definitely a gap in the coverage there. I am in Manchester and have a tough time getting both 1090 and 1280 out of Hanover. 1470 in Westminster doesn't carry very well either. I can usually get the game in good enough to hear but it's not very clear.
At least it's better than when the game was on FM though.

I would figure since you are closer to the PA line 1280 would come in better up there. I live about 6 miles from 1470 so that station isn't a problem for me but when I used to live closer to the Frederick County line it could be a problem, 930 would come in better alot of times back then.

Do you have a smart phone? If so, get MLB at bat app... You can listen to all of the broadcasts using that... Clear as a "ding-ding".
(bell). ;-p
