Interesting spin. Buck says everything has been about the pitching. I would have to agree. If you pitch well, the games can be close and the opportunity to come back is always there. Sometimes thing fall the Orioles way. Also, that team we just played haas some serious flaw that keep it from being an elite team. And we were fortunate to exploit a few of them.

Isn't it fitting that the man who improvised by catching for one inning when we had no catchers left ... and then hit the game-winning home run in the bottom half of said inning ...... would fall onto the side of the "win any way you can, whatever it takes" fence?

The thing is, good teams take advantage of miscues. They're part of the game and not "cheap" at all. If you hustle, you're going to pressure the other team's players to make mistakes (as we saw yesterday). The shoe has certainly been on the other foot, too. The O's have made plenty of mistakes in the past that other teams have taken advantage of. So no, I don't think O's comebacks require a miscue to occur. However, they certainly do help, and good teams act on them and pull wins out of certain losses.

Other teams make mistakes; bad teams make more, while good teams make less. Good teams capitalize on those mistakes more frequently, while bad teams don't. We appear to be somewhere in between the two.

More importantly, doesn't it seem like the Orioles are in a position to take advantage of other teams mistakes more often than in the past? In years past that would have been a 6-0 game and the five runs would have come up just short. Pitching has been fantastic so far.
