Who's the new helmet-scurrier now that Felix Pie is gone?
You may all remember Felix Pie hurriedly and excitedly claiming helmets after walkoff wins last year (lest you forgot: http://forum.orioleshangout.com/foru...f-celebrations), who chased down Betemit's helmet today?
Who would best be served in that role?

Good point, Satyr, I do remember this headline, "Gregg says he's up for whatever role Orioles need him in." Aside from being poor grammar, the headline makes a strong point.

Felix claimed a the helmet retrieval was necessary because it was a "touchdown". I think we can all feel confident that the Orioles can have a successful season without such a conflicting role.

I don't think anyone stepped up to on take Pie's primary responsibility, so the helmet is probably still laying on the field.

Is it sad that during the course of that celebration I thought, "Who is going to pick up that helmet?" You have to love the Hangout!

This thread made me think about Felix, looks like he is still without a job:

Gregg was taped to a support beam out in the bullpen...
Reportedly, he was excitedly wiggling his fingers and toes during the celebration.

For those of you who enjoyed Felix Pie, I am happy to report that he has a job in baseball. Hopefully, he's back to chasing helmets for his new team.
A friend of mine went to a Revolution game on Tuesday and saw him playing in the outfield for Camden.

Today he was 3 for 5. Lookout Dip, he's making a comback.
Below is a recap of today's game.
http://www.riversharks.com/schedule/...cheduleID=1065Pie went 3-for-5 with four runs, one double and one RBI.
Next time Revs play Riversharks, I'm there.
I'm hoping I see a walk off homer for the Sharks, just to see if he's still a retriever.

Reynolds has replaced Felix' helmet retrievals with his sunflower seed showers.
