Lots of hitters doing quite well last 10 games -

    - Delmonico - 19 hits and walks last 10 games for .463 obp with 5 xbh for 1.035 OPS.
    - Avery - still near .400 obp last 10 games overcoming six Ks in a recent three game stretch - three BBs tonight. Would like to get a Pitches Per Plate Appearance for Xman.
    - Hoes - on fire last 10 himself with obp in .400 vicinity with strong OPS as well.

Did you know? Webb is batting .111 last 10 games with a .400 obp thanks to 13 BBs and an ugly .548 OPS. Funny stat line.

Glad Avery is getting BBs, but...man his numbers are plummeting. (As are: Townsend's, Machado's...)

The plummeting numbers are not too surprising for Avery considering he hit .259 at Bowie last year. The fact that he is gaining more power behind his strokes and he is drawing walks is a positive sign for his improvement. His batting average is going to change because of how streaky of a player he is. However, if he can continue drawing walks those cold streaks will not seem so bad.

I think Avery's numbers represent a huge improvement playing at a high level over prior results.

IMO, it has been a hugely positive start for XA.

What's the deal with this Miguel Gonzalez guy with the Tides? 13IP 2H and 18K? That's pretty impressive. Anybody know how he's doing it?

    Fun with Numbers:

    Jai Miller
is on pace for 7 home runs and 254 strikeout in AAA. Anyone still think he's the LFer by the end of the year?

Townsend has struggled pretty badly over his last ten games:

Looks like pitchers have adjusted a bit to him and now he needs to make an adjustment back.

Machado is in the midst of one his worse scuffles as a pro, but the six to six BB:K ratio suggests he should come out of it soon.
