Hello everyone! I just officially joined up and I thought I'd introduce myself with this. I've been lurking on here since the beginning of the season.

So, about me. I'm a fairly young O's fan (16 years old... born about two weeks after Cal broke the consecutive games record) who has never really seen a winning ball club, or at least not since I entered kindergarten. I've stuck with 'em anyways, sub .500 seasons and all, for my whole life. I think it really helps to have a Cubs fan for a Dad to put everything in perspective .

Hopefully this ball club can gain itself some respect this season; I'm soooooo tired of my bandwagon friends and family laughing in my face after every single loss to NY or BOS and it'd be really nice to be able to celebrate... something.

Anyways, this seems like a great place. I think I'm going to spend a lot of time in the game threads... Hope to see you guys there!

Edit: Does anyone else already have this avatar? I really like it but I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

Good for you for sticking with the O's! You are likely a rarity, as most younger people are likely not the least bit interested in the O's!

Welcome. Good username choice. If you post a lot in the game threads you may quickly exhaust your 500 free posts, so turn an eye to the benefits of Plus membership if you have some spare cash. Otherwise, lurking and occasionally posting is a fine way of life at the OH. You'll still learn lots of things, and many of our members have mostly lurked for years.
