    Jacoby Jones?????

The Ravens have been looking for a return specialist all off-season, this guy could be our guy. I'm good with what we have at the receiver position but Jones could potentially add to that as a# 4 , but personally I'm just really interested in this guy as a RS. I would let him and David Reed battle it out in camp for KR, I know the kid sucked against us last year but he has major potential as a returner. Would you guys give him a chance ?????

Yeah too turnover prone if you ask me. I'd pass and give the spot to a young guy.

I think they should give the job to L Williams to lose. He did a good job last season with limited opportunities.

Personally I think Jacoby Jones would be a great pickup as not only a returner but a 3rd receiver that could stretch the field.

But I doubt we have enough money to sign him.

You watch one game and make that assumption?

His one fumble lost in that game was his only fumble lost in the last 3 years.

The guy has averaged about 500 yds receiving for the past 3 years and is an absolute home run threat. Only 2 reception td's last season, but he had TJ Yates for half a season.

The Ravens are strained for cap space IMO. I think Doss or LaQuan could be the returner we need. The Ravens need to get cheaper and somewhat younger. Doss and Williams are both.

Lee Evans had 700+ yards averaged receiving before he came here too and I didn't want him here either. Our offensive issues will be tied to Cam Cameron not a guy like Jacoby Jones.

I just don't want to bring in another guy with unsure hands. The Ravens need a returner who can hold onto the ball. This year is going to be a tough one, given the schedule and they really need to tighten up on Special Teams going both ways. I'd rather a guy who can play both ways on ST get that spot instead of adding a 3rd WR that will never be used properly.

Also...yes. I will judge a guy for one terrible game. If you watched that game it wasn't just that fumble, he muffed two others. We already have Cundiff, no need to add anyone else with any head case problems.

I would definitely bring him in. At worst he wil be our 4th or 5th WR and I dont see anything wrong with that. Since they couldn't find any takers for him, I suspect that he will not require much salary. They couldn't trade his 3MM cap number, so I doubt he would get that ion free agency

Ask and ye shall receive. Ravens brought Jones in for a free agent visit, this weekend.

Excellent bump and props to the OP.

I recall sitting in Pratt St Ale House with some buddies, pregaming before an O's game, when we heard the news about the Ravens signing Jacoby. I strongly disliked the move and I thought we overpaid for a guy with suspect hands. Obviously his fumbles in their game with the Texans was fresh in my mind. Boy, I could not have been more wrong and will happily admit it. We simply don't win a Super Bowl without the guy. Huge FA pickup by Ozzie.

As great as his Super Bowl was, the catch in Denver was the greatest play in Ravens history. Amazing pickup. This is why I don't fear losing FA's. Ozzie knows where to find diamonds.

How dumb must the Texans feel? Pollard, Jacoby, and Leach all played an integral role in our championship. Not to mention the Texans got to watch Trindon Holliday go off on us in the AFC playoffs. It would not be a big deal if you had good players behind them, but the Texans have poor safety play, no deep threat outside of Andre, and a terrible return game. Who is letting these guys go? I am not complaining!
