Surprised this hasn't been updated yet-

Just a partial tear."Everything went good, he was in and out," Suggs told The Sun's Mike Preston of the surgery, which was performed in Charlotte, N.C. by noted foot/ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson. "There is only a small incision, and he said it was not as bad as some thought it was, which I had already been told."
Suggs tore his Achilles on April 28 during a workout near his offseason Arizona home. He said last week he was't sure how severe the tear was because he saw two different doctors and one said that it was a partial tear and the other diagnosed it as a full tear.
However, Suggs said this morning that he had a partial tear of the Achilles.
"As far as my return, it's still the same as the origininal prognosis of four to six months," said Suggs.

Suggs is a tough dude. I'd be surprised if they don't PUP him for the first 6 games though. I'd love to see him back in September/October.

I think the best play is PUP Suggs and hope for him to be ready to go after the bye.
In the interim, we have Upshaw act as the 2003 Suggs; hand in the dirt, go get the QB. Let Kruger, Kindle and maybe McLellan do the dirty work, set the edge, play the run and blitz sometimes.
I'd like to see McPhee's time increase. Having him at DE on the early downs could be a huge asset to the pass rush.
Also, it will be interesting to see how Dean Pees is a D-coordinator. I've heard that he's aggressive but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

.
I just saw this on the ESPN headlines.
The Ravens are standing by Suggs, they will not try to withhold payments, regardless of how his injury happened. Adam Schefter states that all the Ravens care about is that Suggs was trying to stay in shape, whether he was/is playing basketball and/or doing conditioning drills.
Other than that, I have no business being here.

Is it just me or does it tick any one else off that the media is carrying on about how Sizzle hurt his Achilles. Now there is a 'witness' that he hurt it playing basketball.
Hensley is calling for Suggs to come clean in the AFC North blog. Let the man rehab in peace and stop trying to make a story out of nothing ESPN...
Or maybe it's just me, does it anger you guys that if you knew he hurt it balling, or does it make you feel any better of Suggs 'came clean' about it?

Is anyone here actually bothered that suggs played basketball in the offseason?
It's a great way to stay in shape and no more perilous than other sorts of athletic training in my opinion.

God help Suggs if the truth comes out that he likes to eat fried chicken and golf on his days off............
