Mariano Rivera Carted Off Fied After Running Into Wall During BP

No link yet. Was watching MLBN and just saw it.

One of the few MFY's I don't hate. Wish him well but I hope it crushes the MFY's.

Mariano Rivera was carted off the field Thursday after suffering an apparent injury to his right knee during batting practice

Just saw the video. He landed wrong on his right knee shagging fly balls during BP. He did NOT crash into the wall. Looks serious. Definitely not available tonight I would think.

It looked very painful. Yes he was writhing around holding his knee. The trainers did not let him put any weight on it. He was picked up and placed in the Gator.

Somebody must have told him an old George Carlin joke. That's the only thing that I can think of that would make such an immediate turnaround that quickly.

I like how Girardi kicks Mo's right foot on his bad leg right as they are picking him up.

There must be a big black (and orange) cloud over the Yankees these days. Hello Karma!

You know the Orioles have gotten better but the Yankees and RedSox also appear to have both lost a step or two this season. This year is shaping up to be a blood festival.

Girardi always looked like a guy who would kick a man when he was down. Just never knew he would kick his own men!

Yeah, wow... and a hall of famer to boot. Brutal.

Never like to see a guy get hurt, and Mo is legit... he's earned his success with hard work. For what it's worth I hope he recovers quickly and finishes his career with the same consistency in 2012 as he's had all the way.

But when he's finally gone and the rock solid consistency at the back of the MFY bullpen is gone, I won't be missing his presence when the O's are playing the Yanks. Competitively, I'll be glad to see him go. As a decent person, yeah, not good.
