Apparently every Mets starter will use a Beastie Boys song as their walk up music tonight.

Saw Beasties as Bonaroo 2009. Turns out it was the last show. I had an awesome time. Spectacular live. Came out after the break 3 guitars blaring Gratitude. Classic.
Somewhere Biz Markie is sobing and trying to sing Benny and the Jets.
"Now my name is M.C.A. I've got a license to kill
I think you know what time it is it's time to get ill
Now what do we have here an outlaw and his beer
I run this land, you understand I make myself clear."
Paul's Boutique, hip hop's Dark Side of the Moon
Smoke the holy chalice got my own religion
Rally round the stage and check the funky dope musicians
Jerry Lee Swaggert or Jerry Lee Falwell
You love Mario Andretti cause he always drives his car wellLast edited by srock; 05-04-2012 at 09:56 PM.

I was at the last show: Bonaroo 2009. It was incredible.
Paul's Boutique is still mind blowing.
Hello Nasty owned.
Sound of Science is the best Anthology album since The Story of the Clash. (okay maybe Tribe Anthology)
I will actually spend money to own the latest album. An honor only known by a select few. White Stripes may be the last album I actually paid for.

I wanna say a little somethin' that's long overdue
This disrespect to women has got to be through
To all the mothers, and the sisters and the wives and friends
I want to offer my love and respect til the end!

Sad sad news. They just kicked out a tremendous Beastie medley for their induction into the R-n-R HOF. Great tribute. Inducted by Chuck D and LL Cool J.
Bad ass.

I actually did not realize that Bonaroo was their last live show. That means I was at the 2nd to last live show as I saw them a couple of days before Bonaroo at Ram's Head in Baltimore in a surprise show. RIP Adam. I know I spent the weekend listening to Beastie Boys records. Without a doubt one of my favorite musical acts ever. Every single one of their albums was utmost quality and timeless.

Sean's favorite Beastie Boys albums in order:
Paul's Boutique
Hello Nasty
Ill Communication
Check Your Head
License to Ill (in retrospect, better without Fight for your Right)
I'm not sure how to compare The Mix Up (instrumental album) but it superb in its own right.
And this isn't a slight against Check Your Head, its still really good.
