You know, it's a shame to see ANY pitcher struggle, get injured, come back and play hard and still get knocked around. But I console myself with two things:
1. As in life, baseball isn't fair.
2. 14 consecutive losing seasons is enough to deaden anyone's nerves to feeling any sympathy for the opposition. Win, boys, win, is all you can think about. FINALLY, we aren't the ones in those shoes. Thank God.

Did anyone else have the feeling that Valentine pressured Cook to stay in just to try to stay away from the 'pen, which anyone reasonable knew was impossible?

Man this is just so much fun. The Sox have their very own Steve Trachsel or Adam Eaton!

How did that nasty cut happen? That'll be stitches I'm sure.
