    Well, the term spiked is used just because the injury was a result of spikes. Davis didn't spike him, no, but Cook DID get spiked.

    Yeah it wasn't the smartest move but you could tell that he was just putting in a huge effort to try and make that play. And it definitely wasn't Davis trying to do it to him... Davis just wanted to score the run. Two guys doing their job, bad result (for Cook).
