How dominant is Hammel? 18 outs, 14 on K or GB. 2 H, 1 BB; 1 hit never got past third base and both hits were 5 innings ago.
I'm looking at his career stats and there is very little to suggest he could ever be this kind of pitcher; back in his minor league days he K'd about 8 per 9 but even then his numbers decreased at higher levels...

Damn, we're "hitting" their pitchers in more ways than one today!

My guess on the Red Sox trivia question would be Nolan Ryan.

It was a question about who was Bobby Valentine was once traded with/for. I thought that they said "Hall of Famer" which is was why I guessed Nolan Ryan. "Changing the history of baseball" would likely be Andy Messersmith, Dave McNally, or Curt Flood.
Sorry, I only caught the tail end of the question.

If we don't see Dregg in this game we will never see him. O'Day is warming?

Apparently we're not even gonna try to trust Gregg with an 8 run lead.
