Is Andino Part Of Our Core

We talk about our future core. Jones, Wieters, our young arms. Guys like Machado and Bundy in the minors.

Is Andino linked into that group as a part of our future core of this team yet?

He's not on that level, but he's very valuable as long as he's productive and cheap

Yes, Andino is a core player IMO. His defense, timely hitting and youth will allow him to play as a regular for years with the O's.

He's not that young (28). But he is a solid player who seems to be getting better with experience. He's under team control though 2014 and I think he'll be a fixture through then.

The guy seems to have sown up second base. Wonder what Brian Roberts thinks of all this?

A team that's posted 14 consecutive losing seasons has no business showing "swag" yet.

BRob thinks to himself...."Hmm, so they are paying me 10 million bucks to watch a game I love, with my buddies, and the best seat in the house right here next to Buck in the dugout. And when the game is over, I go home to my HOT wife. Mmmmmmmmmm, life issssssssssss goooooooooooooooooooooooood."

Andino has had his own sort of "swag" since he arrived in Baltimore. Him and Strop both.

Andino is young enough that age in not a factor in whether he is a core player or not. If he was in his mid thirties that would be different.
