Tuesday night will be an exciting one at Oriole Park
I am not sure what the end story is going to be but when Brian Roberts approaches the plate in the bottom of the first inning the ovation and the excitement should be pretty special. I am planning on being there for that moment. How effective he will be is still to be written, but this is a nice story and I am happy he is going to get this chance to do what he obviously loves to do again. He certainly has my utmost respect. My fingers are crossed he becomes the come back player of the year.

I'll be there. I'm curious if Buck gives him the leadoff spot. While you normally would let someone who has been out as long as Brian ease his way back in lower in the order, the Orioles don't exactly have another guy who can lead off effectively right now.

If an obvious lead-off hitter had emerged then I believe he may have eased him in, but since Brian Roberts no one has taken that role. Especially all the walks he has taken on his rehab show me at the very least he still has the ability to judge the strike zone. I am looking forward to it. I'll take a walk and a SB!!! That would be fun.

Though some might take it as a good sign, if he dives headfirst at any point after he comes back, I'm probably going to throw something heavy and breakable.

Is it confirmed he'll play Tuesday and they won't ask for more time? I was considering going to that game anyway.

Literally anyone on the O's MLB roster is a better option to lead off than Endy Chavez. So even if Roberts sucks, at least he can draw a walk.

I think that Roberts will be a huge boost to this team, but we REALLY need two of Britton, Arrieta, Tillman, Hunter, Eveland, and Matusz to start performing at least at a league average pace.
We need Reimold and Markakis back too.

Quite a few "Brian will never play again" and "Brian should just retire" and "Brian is just being greedy and selfish" posters are going to be eating some serious crow. At least I hope they'll be happy to have been wrong.

Brian, Nick and Nolan will add a dimension to the that is the O's offense needs -high OBP. Add a better OBP to the power in the O's lineup and watch the runs pile out.
It should be fun.
