I need some advice...though I think I know what the consensus will be.
So I've got tickets to the Saints-Chargers game today. And the O's are playing at essentially the same time. In the playoffs. And my wife is due in about a week, so this would almost certainly be our last chance to get to a sporting event as just the two of us. I can easily sell the tickets, but I know it would mean a lot to my wife for us to go to the football game together. She said she understands if I'd rather watch the O's game...but guys, you know what THAT means....
Help me, Orioles Hangout! You're my only hope!

Can you record the game on DVR? If so, do that and stay away from the internet from the time the O's game starts. Should be rather easy to avoid baseball scores at an NFL game.

Recording the baseball game on the DVR is fine but thinking it will be easy to avoid the score at a Saints game with 72,000+ in attendance is wishful thinking. (Unless he is equipped with ear plugs and a blindfold in which case he may as well stay home.)
OTOH, the excitement of the Saints game might induce labor. How would that be for a great story?

Go to the game with your wife. Watch the O's game on a mobile device while you are there.

Go to the game with your wife. And *don't* watch the game on a mobile device while you are there.

You know what they say about women....happy woman, happy relationship.
Similar to one of my favorite sayings when dealing with a woman..."You can either be right, or you can be happy."

Your wife is 8 3/4 months pregnant and you are taking her to a football game? That is pretty brave. If she is as uncomfortable as my wife was at that point she will spend most of her time at the game going back and forth to the restroom. It might induce birth though. Good luck with that.

Considering she is close to delivery I would err on the side of caution and watch the O's at home. Like what I did there???

Go to the game. She's pregnant, give her what she wants. It could be rain delayed.

Having your wife watch that Saints defense will put unnecessary stress on the baby. Stay home and watch the game.

For the record, getting the tickets was her idea and she knew full well that she'd be 8 3/4 months pregnant. However, she's now mentioning the bathroom thing, climbing the ridiculously steep steps in the Superdome upper deck, and pain while standing thing, so she suggested we sell the tickets now. Problem solved.
And yes, happy wife = happy life.

Lev, go to the game. Download the MLB app and check out the scores and video highlights. Sorry man. Have fun. Might be rained out today anyways.

I don't think Dr. Lev is getting the answer he wants here.
Edit: Never mind. It seems to have worked itself out.Last edited by BarclaySouthway; 10-07-2012 at 11:48 AM.
