Yankee hubris

Mr. Martin, I'd like you to meet my friend Mr. Chen.BALTIMORE -- Prior to the start of the postseason Russell Martin stated pitchers were at a competitive disadvantage working against the Yankees.
"I feel bad for whoever we face,'' Martin said. "We have no holes in our lineup.''

He's also wrong; Martin is a huge hole in the Yankee lineup.

Don't forget A-rod, the ultimate postseason choker. The one year he had clutch hits the Yankees won the World Series. I am never worried when he comes up, especially with RISP.

I respected Martin for what he did with Wieters in the all-star game a couple years ago, but when he called time in the 8th when Matusz was pitching, and then gave a smug smile, it made me want to punch him in the face.
