Nah, I cried a little too. I feel better now though because this was a great season and I think this is not so much the ending but perhaps a new beginning for the Orioles.

I'd rather been done in by the Tigers. Losing to the Yankees when I know without a shadow of doubt we SHOULD have murdered them infuriates me. We gave them everything they got in this series outside of game 5. I'm in tears because of the magical season being over, but I'm still proud of my boys. Here's to signing Greinke, getting Headley and a power bat.

Now let's go win a championship.

If we had to lose a playoff series to the Yankees, that was how I would have wanted to lose it - in a tight game where we pitched well, got beat by an ace who was on his game, made a threat to come from behind, and fell short. I would have hated it if we had gotten blown out, and I would have hated it if we had lost a lead late in the game. And, I'm actually glad our rally came in the 8th inning and not the 9th, and that it was by two runs, not one. It gave me just enough hope but enough time to prepare myself to deal with a loss. And no real regrets about one bad play or one bad at bat that cost us the game.

It's always painful to lose, but that was about the least painful it could have been. Hats off to CC, he is a stud.

It was painful. But they just got beat. It happens. Life goes on.

Sure, I teared up a bit after the loss and also this morning watching the "welcome home O's at Camden Yards" highlights...But overall so PrOud...It's like the kid who stood up to the big bully and fought him off ferociously. Go O's!!

I woke up this morning and the first thing that came to mind was.. I'm not going to be able to see the Os play today, kind of put me in a mild depression but then I seen everyone greeting them when they came home and it cheered me up a bit. This will take a couple days to get over.

it was a tough loss...but to be the best we really needed to beat the best in the AL...and the record states they were. But 23 games between us or whatever were decided by 4 runs? I believe thats what girardi said at his press conference...crazy tight series

I turned it off immediately, and headed to a bar. Hanging out with a bunch of friends eased the pain. Kinda depressed today though.

Haha OP at 3 am, sorry OPer but I have to assume you're drunk. But I had the same reaction when I was drunk at the end of the game, thankfully I quickly met up with friends and females who don't want to talk about baseball haha. But yeah truely a heart breaking end to an amazing season. Just wish the bats would have been there.

I hate to admit it but I have felt weepy ever since the national anthem of game 1 of the ALDS. It was just such a great atmosphere and I was just so overcome with the emotion of it all at the moment.

To me it's almost surreal the O's accomplished what they did this season. Couldn't be prouder to be a fan! My co worker(Italian from the Bronx an diehard Yankee fan) text me and said "good season brother you should be proud of your team; ya did bring it on".

I haven't cried one tear all season. Not during the legends games. Not when we clinched. However when I watched the video of the O's being embraced by fans last night, I did tear up a little.

I am flat out depressed that there is no more O's baseball this season. Like a lot of folks here, I watched part or all of every game this season. I am happy for and love the team that got us to the ALDS, I am a little lost that there is nothing more. I have spent the day wondering who will be back and who won't. I also have been reflecting on how special this year was and wondering if we will have more in the future. Just bummed. I appreciate the fact we all have this place to come here and talk about things. I am sure we will get amped to see if there are any off season acquisitions, the start of spring training, and the new opportunity for this team and its new and returning members. Go O's! Go Buck! and Go to the best Fans, the Fans of all things Baltimore!!! Tend to the wounds and gather our strength, 'cause WE. WILL. BE. BACK. To hades with the yankees!
