Buck Honorary Captain at Ravens game.

Nice touch, according to Twitter peeps and official news sources he got a huge ovation. I put it in this subforum rather than the NFL one so it would get more views! Hope the mods don't mind.

Buck's decked out in #Ravens gear. Gives the crowd a tip of the cap and a fist pump. Very cool scene here at M&T Bank Stadium. Go @Orioles!

I spy Buck Showalter standing behind John Harbaugh on the sideline.

Buck is today's honorary captain. He's at midfield for the coin flip.

That is cool. Good for Buck and good for the Ravens to do that.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter served as an honorary captain for the Ravens on Sunday and received a loud ovation from the crowd at M&T Bank Stadium when he was introduced at midfield before the coin toss.

Several other members of the first Orioles playoff team in 15 years were in attendance when the Ravens kicked off to the Dallas Cowboys – including MVO Adam Jones. The Ravens saluted the Oroiles with a video tribute (“One City…One Heartbeat) late in the first quarter.

The tribute ended with the scoreboard proclaiming “Congratulations on a brilliant 2012 season.”
Pretty cool how both teams care about each other!

Saw the photo of Buck over at baltimoreravens.com gameday photo gallery...couldn't figure out how to copy it, sorry, will take someone with way more tech savvy than me to do that! Cool picture, though, Buck with fist raised in the air saluting the crowd!!!

Maybe it happens in other cities, I don't know, it certainly doesn't happen in DC, but I love how these two teams pull for each other. Seeing Reed, Smith and others at O's games. AJ, Reynolds, etc.. at Ravens' games.

    Its great to see.

Ah ok. I don't pay too much attention. But I don't recall seeing any other players on the Nats/Skins pull for each other.

I don't follow any of them on twitter or watch DC news. The RG3 tweet was a retweet from someone else.

Taylor teagarden and matusz were also there with a.j and reynolds. We even had a let's go O's chant at the game and me along with tons of others were waving our birds hats!

Don't know about the NATS, but it happens with the Caps and Skins in DC.

I was at the game today and when the crowd cheered for Buck it was incredible. There was a shot of him on the jumbo board when he was down on the field and he looked like he filled up and was emotional. 70,000 people cheering is really loud and probably overwhelmed him compared to the 46000 at OP who were also really loud. My eyes started watering and then they showed a shot later in the game with AJ sitting in a seat outside of one of the suites and you could see Buck standing by the door looking out while AJ sat below him a few rows down. They showed some game highlights on the board later as well. Wow! I still remember Sunday and Monday night here at OP. Better than any Ravens game experience. The noise was constant throughout each game. The ninth in the Sunday OP game was hard to watch but all in all great memories that will last forever. Very nice touch by the Ravens today. Buck looked good in Ravens colors but I prefer him in Orange. He probably never imagined he would get this type off fan reaction when he took the Oriole job. There were chants in my section and others saying Let's Go O's......Let's Go O's. Wow! The O's should still be playing.........Wait til 2013!
