Just posted the same thing in the game thread forum. Brutal lineup for any O's fans making the trek to Dunedin. One guy I want to watch, two guys I don't mind watching and six bodies. Plus Jurrjens pitching.

Would it kill Buck to bring a couple starters? It isn't like the old days when long bus rides were needed. Some of these spring training sites have higher ticket prices then big league parks back home.

The only thing I really object to is Betemit at 3B. They should have started Navarro at 3B.

You don't object to Lew Ford in Center?

Who will be the center fielders in Adam's Absence. Robinson and McClouth and I guess Lew Ford. Maybe Avery.

Exactly if Jones isn't in Center then Ford might be the third choice. After they promote him from Norfolk.

Ehhh. A Sunday in spring training? This isn't a star lineup but I'd really like to see: Nolan Reimold for obvious reasons, Conor Jackson (deep sleeper for real value), Danny Valencia (might make the 25 man roster, interested to learn about him), Ryan Flaherty (breakout candidate) and Jair Jurrjens (probably not ready, but another deep sleeper for providing tremendous value this year).

One of these years I'm going to make it down for spring training. I don't want to go for an opportunity to see Adam Jones and Nick Markakis get their reps. I want to make it to see all of those guys who are fighting for their career (young or old), understanding fully that most won't hit the ceilings we discuss on message boards.

You have a point there. Reimold, Ford and Pearce should create some pretty large gaps.

Nice post. I agree. Pearce also has a chance to make the team if he can outhit the competition. Righthanded 1B/corner OF/DH.
