    Schoop looks awfully good..

Hes still just 21 and obviously not ready, but Schoop looks very powerful and athletic
and I'm guessing alot of the Oriole brass have their eyes on him for THIS year at
some point. If he can hit for power and field his position as evidenced by his
performance in the WBC ..we could have a real diamond in the rough.

Of course...where do they put him if everyone is healthy and performing well? Best case for the team is that he's the starting 2B next year once Roberts' contract runs out.

I have never heard a bad thing about this kid since we signed him. The only thing that is in question is what position he will end up playing.

A lot of praise about his arm strength and power.

I think he's going to be a stud. But he needs some more polish first. Maybe we'll see him in the 2nd half.

I'm looking forward to a battle between Flaherty and Schoop for the starting job at 2nd next year. 2013 is a season long interview for the job.

The power is there. I'd like to see him hit for average this year. I've heard he gets into pull mode a little too much. Looks to have a bright future though. You'd like to keep that bat in the middle infield.

I could live with Cano at Second, Machado at Short and Schoop at Third.

I still think Schoop winds up at third and Manny will move to short after this season. Hardy will still have value as a trade chip. We could see a Schoop, Machado, Flaherty, Davis infield in 2014.

I'm not sure I could handle the Orioles having that much talent. I'm already uncomfortable with all this pitching depth.

Don't forget Nicky Delmonico. He's a ways away (I believe he's starting at Frederick), but they've moved him back across the diamond to 3rd this year. Tony and other like his bat as much as anybody's. If he can field well enough to stay there I think you'll see Delmonico/Machado/Schoop/? there in 2015 or 2016.

I think when all is said and done Machado will be our Third baseman for as long as we own him. Schoop will be our long term SS. From what I hear Schoop has better range and as strong of arm as Machado. Schoop turns the DP better than any one in the organisation. I think it would be a waste to have him starting a 2b for his O's career.

He has a long way to go before he gets to the show.
