Ayala Traded

He was traded to Atlanta for LHP Chris Jones.

Can't say I'll miss him that much after his performances thus far this year. Cool guy but still.

They have been trying to get rid of him since Spring. I think Hunter will have a good rest of the year. Adair ,the hated is working on him keeping the ball down.

Meh move but I'm not sure why unless jones is ready to contribute now in the MLB, our Bullpen might be used heavy this month the way the starters are pitching their 1st time through the rotation, going to need all the relief arms we can get.

Without knowing anything about Chris Jones, who I assume is probably just an org. type guy, I can't really say I'm a fan of this. I understand he was one of the last guys in the pen, but he was still pretty valuable down there last year.

Any info on Chris Jones? Is he any good?

I'll miss Luis. He was durable and effective for long parts of last year.

I hope the bullpen remains effective so we don't regret this.

Yeah, As I have often stated, I think Ayala needs a clean inning and that our bullpen is not built to use him in that role.

I was concerned that his hangover and dehydration might keep a trade from occurring. Glad it did not.

DD had to trade Ayala because BS refused to only bring him in to start clean innings.

Just skimming stats, but Jones has held lefties to a .535 OPS since 2011, totaling 165 ABs.

I also believe Freddy Garcia would fill Luis' spot if necessary at least as well.

Not being a wiseguy but they've been working on that since April 2012.

I know but sometimes perhaps if you end up in the bullpen and don't start you might listen. Or maybe not.Blind squirrel or something to that affect.
