Am I the only one a little surprised that our $1.45 M 2nd round pick isn't one of the top 20? And I do realize he struggled... And struggled pretty bad, but I am a little surprised he isn't top 20...

Were Daniel Ayers or Drew Dosch close to cracking the top 30?

They would be in the players to keep an eye status. Ayers had control issues after signing but has a good arm and Dosch was hurt so we really don't have anything othe than his college stuff to go off of. Both are worth keeping an eye on next year.

    Tony,

Thank you for doing this each year, this is one of my favorite things on the OH. For those of us who are really into the minor leaguers Christmas come early when you typically add a list of 5-10 guys who just barely didn't make the cut. Will you be doing that again this year? I think there's still interest in your thoughts on guys like Parry and Rennie who showed something this year, or which if this year's draft picks still not ranked deserve watching (Horacek, Mancini, Bierfeldt, Yaz), or can Bobby Bundy still muster consideration? Hoping you'll add a few names that just missed the list, thanks!

Duquette noted that Baseball Prospectus today released its list of the Orioles' top 10 prospects, which is listed below:

    1. Right-hander Kevin Gausman
    2. Right-hander Dylan Bundy
    3. Right-hander Hunter Harvey
    4. Left-handerEduardo Rodriguez
    5. Second baseman Jonathan Schoop
    6. Right-hander Mike Wright
    7. LLeft-hander P Tim Berry
    8. Right-hander Zach Davies
    9. Catcher Chance Sisco
    10. Outfielder Josh Hart

"I thought that was a good list, with seven pitchers, including two left-handers with Eduardo Rodriguez and Tim Berry, showed the depth to our farm system," Duquette said. "You're talking about Dylan Bundy, Kevin Gausman, Hunter Harvey. They are very talented pitchers. Then you have Mike Wright who was Eastern League Pitcher of the Year. The fact we have seven pitchers on the list close to coming up to help the big league team is very encouraging," Duquette said.
