Last night, the Red Sox had a potential tailor-made double play ball in their grasp, which would have ended the game.

The play ended the game, but in favor of the other team ........ Hanley Ramirez air-mailed the ball to his catcher, causing a 2-base error and winning the game for the Angels.

The Blue Jays are 8-5 since the All-Star break, and have unseated the Orioles atop the division.

It looks like it will be 5 teams for 3 playoff spots in the AL. Three AL East teams and Tigers and Astros Perhaps the Mariners..The Orioles still have a decent shot for a playoff spot.They will have to go on a homer binge and pitching needs to be better. No really great teams in the AL.Hang on for the ride
