The only good things about this outing were that Wilson walked 0, struck out 6, and had an excellent strikes-to-balls ratio (62 Strikes, 27 Balls.)

Also, 9 of the 11 hits that Wilson allowed were singles.

Strange outing.

5 runs ...... but only 1 of them was earned.

7 hits ...... but 6 of them were singles, and the 7th was a double.

In the first 2 innings, he got 6 outs on 20 pitches total.

Then, in an error-laden 3rd inning (the Baysox committed TWO errors in one inning), he threw 30 pitches, and gave up 4 runs (all unearned.)

Then in the 4th, he threw 28 more pitches, gave up 1 run, and was done for the day.

After giving up 3 earned runs in the 1st inning, Wilson posted 7 consecutive shutout innings.

At one point, with the exception of 2 walks (1 of which was erased on a double play), he recorded 16 consecutive outs.

In fact, he only threw 38 pitches total over the final 5 innings. :eektf:

Good to see him get back on track by putting a couple good starts together.

38 pitches over 5 consecutive innings? Sign me up for that.
