I sort of wrote him off as "not ready" in another thread somewhere on here -- he totally won me over today. One of the most impressive BP sessions of PG National and showed plus or better power from both sides of the plate. Physique has already started to improve over the past three months. Looks like he might be able to hang in an outfield corner. Definitely going to be a follow for 2015. He's at Parview for his senior year and currently has a verbal commit to Chipola JC (I think a 4-year school will change that in short order, though).

Jed Hoyer has already said it was unlikely they would get a deal done, but drafting him this year was for the purpose of developing a relationship. Only way I could imagine the Cubs could sign him would be if Dylan Cease doesn't sign.
