Roch:

Mikolas, 25, is 3-1 with a 3.58 as a starter at Triple-A Round Rock and 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in relief.

Mikolas (pronounced "MIY-koh-lahs") saved 26 games in 30 opportunities with Triple-A Tucson in 2013. This starting thing is relatively new to him.

Roch Kubatko

First baseman Chris Davis took some swings off a tee while Showalter and hitting coach Jim Presley offered instruction and feedback. The session was held on the field rather than in the privacy of the indoor batting cage.

"It was just something that we had talked about," said Davis, who's hitless in his last 19 at-bats and mired in a 10-for-80 slump that's lowered his average to .205.

"Obviously, Buck being such a great power hitter that he was, he sees a lot of himself in me."

I'm just gonna go ahead and pronounce it MEE-koh-las

And that ASG cap is pretty stinkin' cool. I'd read that they would all be an homage to the Twins' old batting helmets, which is fortunate for the O's who, as we know, had the same design.
