We should be very pleased with the sweep? But here comes some real pitching.

Jim Palmer said it best."It won't be Saunders, Martinez,Mikolas, and Baker.
It'll be Lester, Lackey, and Peavy". We go with a struggling Miguel in game 1 on very very short rest for the team and a day game. Im not expecting much in game 1. Maybe we will get postponed. I wouldnt mind it.

I like those matchups for us and Peavy just isn't very good at this point.

I would say, on the main, we have beaten some of the best pitchers in the game, and we have lost to some no-name guys. In the end, it all balances out. I honestly don't think this team gets intimidated by anyone. They just grind and do their best, night after night. That's Buck's influence, IMO.

If I were a division rival, I would find the Orioles exhausting.

As a competitor? They would not be a team that I look forward to coming into my town.

Thank god. One more inning they would have had to put Jim Johnson in the game.

As long as the O's SP keeps them in the G they have a puncher's chance v any SP.

Hadn't thought about that, but it's true--The way it used to feel trying to seal a win in Fenway or the Bronx.

He looked a bit forlorn sitting alone in the pen--the only reliever left, the last choice.

Too bad for those "real" pitchers that play for a weak team. Boston ranks 27th in runs scored. I hope the O's aren't shaking in their cleats. The O's should beat the hell out of boston. Go O's!
