Sweeping the Yankees - The Odds Have Been Against It
From 2001-present, the O's are 90-157 (.364) against NY. At one point in 2009, the O's lost 10 straight games to them, and 8 straight games in 2010.
In 81 series, the Orioles are 27-48-5 and counting. NY swept the O's 23 times. 23 sweeps. In 7 other series, the O's won the last game to salvage a split.
The O's have swept the Yankees - twice, 4/15-17, 2005 and 6/28-30, 2013. In 7 other series, NY won the last game to salvage a split.
In the so-called "rubber games" against NY, the Orioles are 10-10 and counting; 2-0 this year.

Those were the old Yankees. They are just another team now and I look forward to winning many series and even sweeping them a few times as we go forward and they slip further and further away from the dominant team they once were.
