Looks like the Yankees ground crew just manufactured a win for them. They are in the bottom of the 5th with a 2-1 lead and the ground crew was unable to get the tarp on the infield when a downpour hit. The rain will move through shortly, but there's over an inch of standing water on the infield. The game is toast.

Methinks hijinx are afoot in the Bronx.

Wonder if the grounds crew guys will be given box seats and get to go on Letterman like Maier did?

I'm sure the Christmas bonus will be nice this year.

Can I ask why Chris Davis continues to play?

He is like 5 for 31 with 16 K's.

Am I the only that thinks this?

Yes.

There are 6 billion people on the planet, and you are the only one who thinks this.

5,999,999,999 to 1.

Here's what I want to see from Tillman tonight:

1) Fastball control

2) Fastball control

3) Mother----ing fastball control

That's what Gonzo and Norris had in games 2 and 1. That's what will let Tillman pitch deep into this game. He doesn't have the "stuff" that Gonzo and Norris displayed the last couple of nights, so he'd damn well better be sharp in re: location.
