 Wow!

Played college basketball at Princeton.

But he doesn't strike many people out at all. 70 in 117 innings this year (just 5.4/9 innings).

He is an EXTREME fly ball pitcher who has found the perfect home in Safeco. His FIP is 4.97. He's given up a whopping 18 HRs but only 6 at home. Home ERA 2.45, road 4.09.

His BABIP at home is a ridiculous .203. He just throws the ball up there and gives up fly balls that are mostly caught in Safeco. This guy doesn't fool anybody, he doesn't get groundballs. But he gets results at home.

Safeco is a good place for him then! Best place? Maybe Detroit. San Diego?

For a pitcher with a low-80′s fastball, a staggeringly low ground ball rate , and a history of significant arm injuries, it’s kind of impressive that he’s around at all. Perhaps even more amazing is that he can probably help someone win games.
