Elias is making his 21st start in his rookie season. He's 8-8 with a 4.41 ERA, with 108 hits allowed in 118 1/3 innings. He's walked 42, struck out 104, served up 14 home runs, hit seven batters, thrown five wild pitches and committed four balks.

Elias has allowed five earned runs or more in three of his last four starts and four of seven. He's permitted only one earned run in the other three starts. He hasn't gone more than 5 1/3 innings in his last three outings.

Elias is 1-2 with a 7.90 ERA in three July starts, with 12 earned runs (13 total) and 19 hits in 13 2/3 innings.

Right-handers are batting .255 against Elias and left-handers are hitting .209.

Elias is 3-for-5 with a 4.84 ERA in 11 home starts and 5-3 with a 3.95 ERA in nine road starts.

amazing to me how many major league players bunt worse than Little Leaguers! Toronto with nobody out unable to advance the runner from 2nd to third on a bunt popup to the catcher and then next hitter with grounder which would have scored the run.
