A's acquire Dunn from White Sox

I see where you're coming from, but my expectation is always a competent pitching start. If he has thrown 7 scoreless then I would be on board with you but I agree with OP that Mateo's sequence was more influential on the outcome.

I saw Heston play in Houston (say that three times fast) and that guy hit a homerun that looked like he barely swung at all and yet it powered over the right field wall. Heston is incredibly strong, big, and has great plate discipline. Santander is great because he’s a switch hitter, but if Heston can hit lefties, they really are very similar players. Here’s hoping his defense has improved because he’s the heir apparent in right.

I will not be shocked if Kjerstad forces himself into the lineup. LH or not, he and Cowser are better than Hays and probably Santander. There will be a timeshare for sure, and it could take a minute, but Kjerstad could be an even better hitter than Cowser.

I think we know what we have (and can trust) with Kimbrel, Cano, and Columbe. Perez's health is a big question mark because I think you can generally include him in the list when healthy. Everyone else a mystery, although I usually have faith in Webb.

Not to discount Mateo’s contribution yesterday at all, but Suarez gets the game ball in my mind. He was the biggest factor in us winning. 

I thought the whole way Ortiz would be the more valuable guy in the trade. Hall is probably destined to the bullpen, but even there he's not a finished product.
