they will absolutely have to pick the start times before wild cards winners are determined.

if not, it would give fans 36 hours to make arrangements to go to an early afternoon game.

there is precedent for this. they did this last year.

there is NO CHANCE they will slot a chance of a west coast team ( SF could be at Was) in the early slot on a weekday.

we are playing the first game on Friday.

deal with it.

No they don't, they can do as they want to, as they will.

2012:

Friday, Oct 5, 2012 • Updated at 10:37 AM PDT

On Friday Major League Baseball announced game times for the NLDS and ALDS through Tuesday of next week, which will cover up to Game 3 of the National League Divisional Series.

The postseason kicks off on Friday with the Braves and Cardinals playing the first ever play-in wild-card game at 2:07 p.m. PT. The Braves are favored, but know this: if the final game of Chipper Jones career is a one-game playoff loss, it would be both sad and fitting. The Rangers host the Orioles at 5:37 p.m. PT. No, "Orioles" is not a typo. Both games are on TBS.

The dates were already known. Now, we officially have start times for Games 1 and 2.

The Red Sox will begin their ALDS series versus the AL wild card winner at Fenway Park on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s Game 1 is scheduled for 3:07 p.m. ET, and Saturday’s Game 2 is scheduled for 5:37 p.m. ET.

do you really expect baseball to troll their fans who followed all year long, and give them what, 24 hour notice that, "game 1 is at 1:30 PM, i hope you can find someone to cover your shift, lol"

Are you always this angry?

You could end up being right about it being the early game on Friday, but tone down the attitude a little bit. Is it REALLY that big of a deal to get this worked up about?
