P.S. The White Sox will also retire Konerko's # 14:

Paul Konerko's No. 14 to be Retired

(By Doug Padilla)

Konerko will join Nellie Fox, Luke Appling, Minnie Minoso, Ted Lyons, Billy Pierce, Luis Aparicio, Carlton Fisk, Harold Baines, and Frank Thomas as players who have had their number retired by the Pale Hose.

Hall-of-Famer Big Ed Walsh, who holds the all-time major league record for career E.R.A. (1.82), won 40 games for the White Sox in 1905, and spent all but one season of his 14-year major league career with the White Sox, played before players wore numbers (1904-1917.)
