I had heard that Friedman had an ownership stake in the team.

Are the Rays prepared to carry on without him?

Quite the 'rags to riches' story..........lol. Wonder what he can do with an unlimited budget. Oh, and I agree that this probably doesn't bode well for the Rays at all.

Losing Maddon would be a bigger blow I think.

I disagree.

But losing one, then the other, would be hard for them to recover from.

Unless of course they have a hot shot GM in waiting over there.

Either way, they have a loaded team and system. Whoever takes over will have a grace period.
