The thread title gives the median length and annual amounts selected by the people who took part in the fangraphs crowdsourcing project. The mean averages were slightly different.

Markakis 3.4 years, $11.8 mm per season

Cruz 3.0, $14.8 mm

Miller 3.1, $8.4 mm

Colby Rasmus, 3/$30 mm.

That seems awfully high for Chase Headley. He has a nice WAR, but he was pretty much given away for nothing to the Yanks. I don't see him having a lot of value around the league to pay 14 mil a year.

Free agent deals are very rairly value added.

With the new TV deals (both local and national), there is more $ chasing the same players .... so there will be some salary inflation.

I would love all those players back at that price. The contract for Markakis is borderline high. I would prefer something like 3 yr/$27 mill.

No way Miller signs a 3 yr deal. I wouldn't be surprised by 4 yr/$40 mill. This offseason has highlighted the value of dominant relievers. Cruz contract sounds about right.

Putting aside my own biases about keeping Markakis, I think you're way off base in judging his market value. I'll be shocked if he gets less than $10 mm/yr on a deal of three years or less, unless he re-ups with the Orioles and gives them a discount.
