Yeah, but does it really make it any better than last year with Robertson? I think Robertson and Miller are comparable but Robertson is probably more of a sure thing going forward as far as durability.

If I'm the Yankees though, and I'm looking to get better in the short term, but also improve the farm system so I can stop spending to this extent in the future, this is the move I make. Maybe Robertson is the better bullpen arm, but it's still pretty close. Another team signs Robertson, and you get the QO pick. Your bullpen probably isn't any worse than last year, and your farm system just got better.

I would let a Robertson walk and sign a Miller to replace him every offseason if I had the money. Its a free pick and free pool money.

Yep, it's the luxury of being the Yankees. Their ability to acquire talent doesn't have to come at the expense of their farm system. In fact, just the opposite can be true.
