Am I looking at this data wrong? Statcast shows Jackson's Launch angle to be 4.4 degrees. -

This could go on a separate thread but seems relevant here. Three of the guys in this homegrown lineup are currently in the top 10 for fWAR: 6. Gunnar 1.5 7. Cowser 1.4 9. Westburg 1.3 I have to think Gunnar will be moving up with his 3 for 3/HR SB and defense today. -

He will be 30 in October. Over the last several years, he has gotten slower, his range has diminished, his arm is neither strong nor accurate( if I read the savant page correctly) his career years were at least a couple years ago. Also, Baltimore is the new Hot Place, and he could get a second WS Ring here if he accepted a QO, and he loves it here. Of course he’d accept. But the main thing is that we have younger and cheaper guys at the beginning of their age curve, and we can use that 20 mill to lock up Gunnar and the gang. -
I don't know, with two outs I think it's worth the risk. Staying on first means counting on Rengifo to deliver an XBH or Rengifo and Neto to both get hits, neither of which are very likely against Kimbrel. -

Mateo has been pretty good so far this season. I'm wondering how much production we are missing from him not playing in April, and how much we can squeeze that fruit and for how long before he goes back to not being able to see the baseball.
