They need to get his growth plates checked out if he grew three inches last year.

Hopefully if he does outgrow third he can handle a CO spot or his bat will be good enough to slot at first.

Scott Rolen was a pretty big dude -- 6'4", 245 according to BB-ref -- and managed to win 8 Gold Gloves at 3B. Troy Glaus was a respectable 3B at 6'5".

Most likely a big first baseman. He probably stays at 3B for one more year or so but eventually he'll most likely move to 1B. His range was already in question. Decent hands. Plus arm. Sounds like a 1B to me. Now, lets hope he hits like Miguel Cabrera.

Playing 3B is great training for playing 1B. He'd make a heckuva target at 1B.

In today's prospect chat with Kiley McDaniel over at Fangraphs, someone asked if there are any risers on the prospect list this Spring.

His response: "Heard positive buzz on some guys, like Jomar Reyes and Gilbert Lara, but no one has moved up a notch yet"

The fact that Jomar Reyes was one of the first players to come to mind for him is interesting.

I know it's early, but I'm really excited about Reyes. He's definitely the most exciting position player prospect in our organization. We could have a Miguel Sano type prospect in a couple years.
