Orioles go back to the high ranks for a prep outfielder. Fries is 6'4", 200 pounds, bats right, and has a UCLA commitment.

Growing up I played baseball and soccer with Pries' father Jeff when his family lived in Timonium in late 70s. He was an incredible athlete. They moved to CA when his father got another front office job; ended up as a 1st round pick of the Yankees if I'm not mistaken. Look forward to seeing if Jake signs.

I wonder if the Orioles will use some of their top ten savings and try to buy Pries out of his UCLA commitment? His grandfather was the Orioles assistant GM back in the glory years.
