Not necessarily. I just don't see how one can make the leap that one game of Manny starting at short for JJ Hardy while he's injured means anything about the future plans of the team.

Im not saying it is, but certainly when a young guy that is a SS fills in for an old SS that cant stay healthy, the thought isnt all that unreasonable.

Hardy is a GG SS and the oldest and perhaps most respect player on the team. Not to mention fat, juicy contract.

I think we should mix it up more. How about Matt Wieters at SS (boras will love us for increasing his value), flaherty batting cleanup and Chris Davis in CF.

Also, I think there are still 2 or 3 oFers in the organization we haven't tried yet, let's get them up here!

Why? His value dissapears at 3B. He doesn't hit well enough to justify his contract.

And politics. Hardy is a respected player. You don't tread on vets like that by making them move off their spot.
