If Joaquin directly impacts the D.C. region, it would be in the Sunday to Monday timeframe. The National Weather Service sums up the situation this way: “The weather Sunday and Monday remains highly uncertain with heavy rain…strong gusty winds…tidal flooding and erosion remaining a concern…though it could just turn out to be a partly sunny and breezy day.”

So a bad storm or sun.

Jays relievers came in from the bullpen. I think it's officially a delay now, though the tarp is not on because they are dumping mountains of drying agent on the infield.

So what the heck is MLB gonna do if it rains in B'more from now until Monday, as seems to be a possibility? Can't move the games to NY, as they'll likely have similar weather issues. Butting up against the start of the playoffs, with the Yanks still trying to clinch a spot, MLB could be in a bit of a pickle.

Gotta admit I'm surprised - In the Bethesda area, the rains been very light - certainly good enough to play. We're only a half hour drive from Baltimore.
