Who says no?

Baltimore Receives:

  • Yasiel Puig, RF (ML) -- ~$24.7 MM through 2018, under control through 2019
  • Chris Anderson, RHP (AAA) -- pre-arb
  • Grant Holmes, RHP (A) -- not on 40 man

Los Angeles Receives:

  • Kevin Gausman, RHP (ML) -- pre-arb
  • Zach Britton, LHP (ML) -- ~$6.6 MM expected in 2016 arb, under control through 2018
  • Dylan Bundy, RHP (ML) -- $1.25 MM in 2015, no options left, rookie eligible

Quick Report

Anderson -- Very heavy fastball/sinker on tough angle, up to 94/95 mph; quality change up with deception; projects from #2 - #4 starter with fallback as late-inning arm; slider low- to mid-80s, average pitch; has shown growth in stuff over past two years

Holmes -- Potential #1; fastball mid- to upper-90s, has topped 100; power curve potential plus-plus pitch; change-up is inconsistent but frequently shows average; closer potential if you wanted to go that route; sturdy; lots of "**** you" to him.

The Dodgers dont seem like a good landing spot for Bundy, unless they flip him to Philly or ATL.

Bundy/Urias could be an interesting pairing by mid-season and would allow Dodgers to keep Urias's innings down. Britton/Jensen should solidify pen and push everyone down a rung, so not much pressure on Bundy to perform much. Could also flip Bundy to a non-contender.

Think it is a little much. I would put Gonzalez instead of Gausman, throw in another prospect. But the key would be what Buck, and Adam Jones, think. Can they impact Puig. Adam could be a very positive influence or it could blow up in a hurry.

Dodgers have better prospects and Anderson is cheaper, better long term, and maybe better this year, than Gonzalez.
