Don't pay any attention to who is at #3

20. Christian Walker, of/1b, Orioles

Team: Triple-A Norfolk (International)

Age: 25.

Spring Training Stats: .227/.245/.636 (10-for-44), 4 2B, 1 3B, 4 HR, 14 RBIs, 2 BB, 11 SO

Why He's Here: Walker's path to the big leagues got a lot tougher this offseason. With Chris Davis, Mark Trumbo and Pedro Alvarez ahead of him, first base/DH is blocked. So the Orioles are going to give Walker work in left field to try to add versatility. He has sacrificed some of his hitting ability to gain more power.

15. Trey Mancini, 1b, Orioles

Team: Double-A Bowie (Eastern)

Age: 24

Why He’s Here: .423/.545/.808 (11-for-26), 10 R, 4 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBIs, 6 BB, 9 SO

You might remember Mancini from such standout performances as 2015 at Double-A Bowie, when he hit .359 in 84 games to win the Eastern League batting title. Despite being back at Bowie, Mancini this week smacked six extra-base hits in seven games while hitting .423, which earns him the nod here and keeps his career EL average humming along at .358. Few first-base prospects have improved their stock since the beginning of 2015 like Mancini. (ME)

19. Trey Mancini, 1b, Orioles

Team: Triple-A Norfolk (International)

Age: 24

Why He’s Here: .286/.333/.607 (8-for-28), 3 R, 3 2B, 2 HR, 2 RBIs, 2 BB, 6 SO

The Scoop: Mancini began the season at Double-A Bowie before advancing to Norfolk on April 25. The first baseman hit just .229 with a double and a triple through his first 10 Triple-A games, but he has smoked the ball for power over the course of the past eight games, striking three homers and three doubles while hitting .290.

12. Mike Yastrzemski, of, Orioles

Team: Triple-A Norfolk (International)

Age: 25

Why He’s Here: .500/.577/.900 (10-for-20), 6 R, 5 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, 4 BB, 5 SO, 1 HBP, 4-for-4 SB

The Scoop: The Orioles promoted Yastrzemski to Triple-A on May 16, and he has hit .405 (15-for-37) with eight extra-base hits and four stolen bases through his first 10 International League games. With some speed, some power and some outfield flexibility—not to mention a lefthanded bat—he appears to be well on his way to a big league role of some stripe. (ME)

We won't mention that Josh Hader is # 3. At least I won't.

Looking at the list, I'd love to get Lew Brinson. Would a Heim for Brinson trade make sense? Seems like Texas has a lot of young OFers.

The brewers sure are taking it slow with Hader. He's now pitched in AA for parts of the last 3 years. Guess they don't want to waste his service time while they are terrible.

17. Ryan Mountcastle, ss, Orioles

Team: low Class A Delmarva (South Atlantic)

Age: 19

Why He’s Here: .464/.516/.857 (13-for-28), 9 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 6 RBIs, 3 BB, 3 SO, 0-for-1 SB

The Scoop: After a year in the minor leagues, Mountcastle is shining in the South Atlantic League. Baltimore’s first-round pick a year ago has five home runs this season, and three of them came this week. After a rough April, Mountcastle has settled in nicely, hitting .364/.424/.550 with four home runs and just 19 whiffs in 129 at-bats. (JN)

CoC pointed out that the Brewers have concerns with high attitude and their AAA location.

5. Trey Mancini, 1b, Orioles

Team: Triple-A Norfolk (International)

Age: 24

Why He’s Here: .522/.607/.826 (12-for-23), 6 R, 1 2B, 2 HR, 6 RBIs, 5 BB, 2 SO, 1 GDP

The Scoop: Mancini hit .359 to win the Eastern League batting title last year, and he ranks seventh in the International League batting race this season at an even .300. In his past 30 games at Norfolk, he’s hitting .354/.421/.531 with five homers and five doubles. Mancini could be ready to add more power to an already-powerful Orioles offense later this summer. (ME)

Paddock, the player traded in the Rodney deal, was at #20.
