Mark Belanger Documentary

A guy from Belanger's hometown of Pittsfield, MA is doing a documentary on Belanger.

He's looking for funding, but he's posted a trailer at his site with some good highlights and stuff. Worth watching...

It sounds interesting but I had to chuckle at the part where he says Mark Belanger has a better lifetime fielding% than Derek Jeter. Not exactly the highest praise since Jeter has been bashed for his lack of fielding ability.

Belanger may have not been the best hitter but he did have some clutch hits and hit Nolan Ryan hard during his career.

This warms my heart to hear of this. Thanks for finding this and sharing.

That is the exact opposite of hitting him hard.

He did however have a 367 OBP against Ryan, to go along with a 250 BA.

So you could say he walked Nolan Ryan hard during his career.

Pretty sure I remember it was vs the Yankees.
