Wilson has allowed five runs in two of the last four starts and pitched well enough for the standard QS in the other two, but not the stricter definition that I use. He got through at least six innings in all but the last one of four innings and five runs against the Yankees. Wilson has only pitched once at Canadian Communications and Media Company Centre and did pretty well. Wilson has been far better on the road this season than he has been at home, so that's a good thing.

QS: 7

Last 4 Starts (24.1 IP): (1-2) 7.77 (1.89) 36H, 10BB

After a very promising start to his major league career in 2014 and 2015, the Jays had high hopes for Stroman this season. Stroman threw three QS in April and four in May, but he has allowed six or more runs in three of the last four starts and he is not giving these runs up on home runs with only three surrendered since the start of May. Stroman has pitched well for his career against the Orioles and he has been at his best this season on the road where his numbers are far, far better than his numbers at Canadian Communications and Media Company Centre. Unfortunately for Stroman, that's where he will be pitching in this one.

The KC offense continues the abysmal drought as once again, they simply fail at putting runs up on the board. Edinson Volquez was strong early on, but the Orioles figured him out and put up four runs in the fifth inning saddling Volquez with his first back to back starts of allowing more than three runs. The Orioles have now won four in a row and six of seven heading to Toronto to play the Blue Jays for four games. I fully expect this to be an intense series and I hope that's exactly what it is. The Orioles play seven of their next 10 games against Toronto and the other three against Boston.

Well, Stroman has really struggled over the last four games after doing pretty well prior to that. His FIP is 3.73, so perhaps he hasn't been quite as bad as his ERA would suggest. Either way, we will find out soon. Stroman has also been pretty dreadful at home this season while Wilson has been at his best on the road and has had some success against Toronto with one start at Canadian Communications and Media Company Centre.

Everyone except Boston in the East will or has won today as the Yankees are still playing and they are up 12-5 on the Angels in the eighth inning which will be their third straight win. Toronto beat Detroit and Boston is getting ready to play their game at SF. In the Central, Cleveland is about ready to start their game in Seattle and the Nationals are up 7-0 on the White Sox in the fifth inning as Scherzer is working on a two hitter. Texas and Houston were tied 1-1 through six innings, but Houston has taken a two run lead in the top of the seventh on a two run double from Altuve and another solid performance from Doug Fister.

In his first experiment, Jordan used growth cabinets to determine the least amount of light that could be delivered to the turf to maintain it at an acceptable quality level. Interestingly enough, with the roof open, the reflected light from the blue seats in Rogers Centre provide a better than ideal spectrum of light and the turf will get more than adequate solar radiation. The reason for the excellent light availability inside Rogers Centre is because of the building?s directional orientation.
