Chris Tillman

</b>

Tillman has allowed only one run over the last 14.1 IP and will go for his 10th win in this one, but Toronto owns him with practically everyone in the Toronto lineup hitting well over .300 against him and all of them have at least one RBI. I guess we will have to see if that trend continues here. He did hold the Jays to two runs over six innings back in April which is good, but this is July now.

QS: 8

Last 6 starts (36.2 IP): (2-2) 6.64 (1.69), 4HR

Stroman has really struggled since mid-May with only two quality starts and three starts allowing six or more runs. It seems he is struggling from the stretch, but he has been at his best on the road and has been solid at Camden Yards as well.

Gallardo pitched well in his debut allowing only two runs in five innings, but he also allowed nine baserunners and was fortunate that a few line drives went right at defenders. Allowing nine baserunners in five innings is never good and is why he struggled so much before his injury. He allows too many men on base. Dickey also pitched well, but the Orioles edge out the win and return to first all alone.

Stroman's struggles continue this season, but he is coming off a very good start and has been a road pitcher this season posting a very nice line in away games while Tillman also posts a very good line in home games with a perfect 6-0 record. However, Tillman's numbers against Toronto are ugly though he did pitch well against them in April when their offense was cold. Of course, that's not the case now, so it will be interesting to see how this one turns out.

Boston also won today and remain one back of the lead while Cleveland looks like they will win and KC has yet to play their game against Detroit which is about to get underway in the Central. Texas is now 7.5 games up on Seattle with their loss to Boston today having won five straight and eight of 10.

Sunday is the last game of the 20 game stretch against the 4 teams O's fans hate the most. We are 11-8 in that stretch. A win and we would finish it 12-8 (.600). I think most O's fans should be very pleased with that.

This would be a nice win for the O's. It'd be great to rebound from the bad series in Toronto by taking 2 of 3 from the Red Sox and Jays in back to back series. Hopefully Stroman's struggles continue and the Orioles smack him around. His last start was good, but it was also against the Phillies. He's allowed 14 hits and 7 runs in 12.1 IP against Baltimore so far this season. I think they take this one today. Let's go O's!
