2016 San Francisco Giants

Since starting the season at a lackluster 7-10, the San Francisco Giants have been the hottest team in baseball, going 37-16 since then.

At the moment, they appear to be the team with the best chance at beating the Cubs in a potential playoff match-up ....... but that is a long way off.

For the time being, they are riding high atop the National League West division.

Matt Moore pitched well in his Giants debut, but with some control problems: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 6 BB, 7 SO, 0 HR

I am glad he is no longer pitching for Tampa, I think he is going to be back in beast mode next year.

We may face him next week....:clap3:

I think we see Cain/Bumgarner/Cueto.

On another note, SF manager Bruce Bochy has been admitted to the hospital and will miss tonight's game:

Oh well - (ex-Nat phenom) Ross Detwiler then will be the crafty lefty we face to replace Moore in our hearts. *sigh* Roy will have something to say if we don't pass muster again. :laughlol:

(AUGUST 17th)

The Giants are 9-21 since the All-Star break.

The Giants' downward spiral is continuing.

They are now 16-31 since the All-Star break.

They went from having the best record in baseball at the All-Star break in July to being a team that is desperately trying to land one of the 2 National League Wildcard spots in September.
