Jimenez only ever seems to pitch well against bad teams. His best three starts of the season were against the Twins, A's and Padres. Could he turn in two in a row here? He has been dreadful on the road and has not done well at Animal Supplies and Services Retailer Park. He is 8-4 career against the Padres.

It was easy to see why Johnson struggles so much in the majors during his start against us last week. Honestly, Johnson's stuff isn't that bad when he's not deluding himself into believing he is throwing mid 90's. For a guy that throws 89-90, he sure does love throwing his fastball right down broadway or up in the zone. It's hard to believe really because his offspeed stuff really wasn't that bad and if he would stop trying to be something he's not and realize what kind of pitcher he is, he would probably start to have some success. He won't have it if he keeps trying to blow that fastball by people like he's Randy Johnson. Erik Johnson seems to be having an identity crisis and it's killing his career. We'll see if he learned anything from his last start.

After taking advantage of the demoralized Rays with the four game sweep, the O's now go on the road where they have not played all that well this season. They split the home series with the Padres last week and will look to do better here.

Jimenez and Johnson aren't much to choose from, but Jimenez definitely has a better chance of pitching well considering Johnson has yet to do that this season.

Good thing the Rays waited to snap their losing streak as they dropped 12 runs on Boston tonight, but they still only won by five runs. Toronto lost to Colorado as well, so Boston is 4.5 back and Toronto 5.5 back. The Yankees are up 6-5 on Texas in the top of the ninth, but is currently in a rain delay after Chapman walked the leadoff batter and has a 3-1 count on Choo. Going by the current radar image, it looks like it could be raining for over an hour. Who knows how or when that game might end. In the Central, Cleveland is the anti-Rays as they have now won 10 in a row and are five ahead of KC who has won two in a row and currently occupy the second wild card spot a half game ahead of Toronto. I think the WC race is going to be real interesting this year. In the West, we know what Texas is doing and Houston is down 1-0 to the Angels in the sixth.
